Over 30 Individuals Injured in Train Collision in Punjab, Pakistan
In a recent incident, over 30 individuals sustained injuries when a passenger train collided with a stationary freight train along the primary railway line in Punjab, Pakistan. The incident occurred near the Qila Sattar Shah Station within the Sheikhupura district.
According to reports from the scene, the collision resulted in injuries to 31 passengers, who were promptly attended to by rescue personnel. Out of these injured passengers, five were subsequently transported to the district headquarters hospital for further medical care.
Railway authorities have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision, aiming to determine the exact cause of the accident.
A spokesperson for the railway system issued a statement confirming that train operations within the Lahore division have been restored to normalcy after the accident. They also indicated that the railway track had been promptly cleared following the incident, allowing for the resumption of regular train services.
